Department of Physics & Astronomy

Summer Physics Registration

Attention SUMMER Students-At-Large interested in PHYSICS 201L & 202L

To apply to become a Student-At-Large (SAL) please visit NEIU's Appliction Management Portal. If you have applied to the university to be a Student-At-Large and wish to register for PHYSICS courses offered this summer, please read the following:

In order to be authorized to register, our department must verify that the prerequisite of PreCalculus (or equivalent) has been satisfactorily completed. In order to best expedite this, you should provide the department with a PDF copy of an OFFICIAL transcript (no "screen shots", please!) with that PreCalculus grade on it.

To best do this, please email the transcript to either Lidia Costea, Office Administrator, (ld-costea@neiu.edu) or Dr. Greg Anderson, Chair, Earth Science and Physics Department (physics@neiu.edu).

If you do not have the prerequisites on your transcript, you need to demonstrate mastery of that material through a placement test. To sign up for math placement testing, please fill out this questionnaire: https://forms.gle/ZKZgyXee4BBXxnii6. Testing Services will send you the information about how to sign up. If you chose remote math testing with our partner, you will receive an email from Accuplacer with the subject "Remote Voucher Notification" with information about scheduling your test. Be sure to prepare by going to NEIU's test preparation page.

We appreciate your cooperation with this process. If you have any other questions, please call Lidia at 773/442-6050.
